JOLIET, Ill. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College men's and women's track & field competed on Friday and Saturday at the University of St. Francis Fighting Chance Invitational at Joliet Memorial Stadium. Team scores were not recorded at the last chance event.
MEN
Three Warriors posted personal-best marks, as junior
Damarius Lewis (Milwaukee, Wis.) clocked in at 24.02 seconds in the 200m, senior
Will Caldwell (Milwaukee, Wis.) ran the 5,000m in 16:32.61, and sophomore
DeShawn Wells (Sioux City, Iowa) threw 35.28m in the Javelin.
WOMEN
Freshman
Kirstin Neuwirth (New Berlin, Wis.) paced a trio of WLC runners in her first-ever 5,000m with a time of 20:33.77. Sophomore
Rachel Homan (New Lisbon, Wis.) and senior
Louisa Felgenhauer (West Bend, Wis.) recorded personal-best times of 20:34.99 and 21:03.13, respectively. Senior
Autumn Przybyla (Belvidere, Ill.) threw a personal-best 29.30m in the Javelin.
Wisconsin Lutheran competes in the Augustana Midwest Twilight Qualifier on Thursday, May 15 in Rock Island, Illinois. Events are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
