GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLCSports.com) -Â Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2025 men's cross country season on Saturday with a fifth-place finish at the Tom Barry Invitational hosted by St. Norbert at Shorewood Cross Country Course.
The Warriors finished fifth out of 12 scoring teams, which featured a pair of in-state Division I squads, with 156 points.
Junior
Arnold Rupnow (Watertown, Wis.) finished 19th to lead WLC with a 6K time of 19:45.6. Graduate
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) placed 21st with a time of 19:49.7.
Senior
Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) was 34th with a time of 20:17.1, freshman
Caleb Schreiber (Mukwonago, Wis.) was 50th with a time of 20:50.0, and junior
Silas Ebeling (Wauwatosa, Wis.) rounded out Wisconsin Lutheran's team score in 67th with a time of 21:31.5.
Green Bay scored 31 points after placing five runners inside the top-10 to take home the team title. Noah Jahnke of Green Bay topped the 135-runner field with a 6K time of 18:26.5.Â
The Warriors compete next at the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday, September 20. The 8K race is scheduled for an 8 a.m. start.
