WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a narrow 2-1 decision to Knox on Sunday at Warriors Soccer Field in non-conference action.
After a scoreless first half, the Prairie Fire (2-1-2) broke through in the 56th minute when Thomas Sánchez Madden netted his first goal of the season assisted by Arito Nakamichi. Knox doubled its advantage in the 83rd minute on an unassisted tally from Kestervens Dera, his third of the season.
The Warriors (1-5-1) responded quickly, as freshman
Caleb Dukic (Franklin, Wis.) scored his first career goal just 41 seconds later in the 84th minute to cut the deficit in half. Despite late pressure, WLC was unable to find the equalizer.
Knox held a 14-5 advantage in total shots and 6-1 edge in corner kicks. Dera led all players with four shots, while junior
