MEQUON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College opened Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a 0-0 draw against Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday at Fitting Field.
The Warriors (1-5-2, 0-0-1 NACC) and Falcons (1-3-3, 0-1-1 NACC) battled through 90 minutes of regulation, with both sides generating scoring chances but unable to find the back of the net.
CUW finished with a 21-10 advantage in total shots, including a 5-4 edge in shots on goal. WLC sophomore goalkeeper
Aaron Lambert (Green Bay, Wis.) came up big with five saves to secure his first shutout of the season, while CUW's Connor Fitch matched him with four stops.
Freshman
Jesus Ramirez Pabon (Milwaukee, Wis.) led Wisconsin Lutheran with three shots, while sophomore
Rafael Galindo (Delavan, Wis.) added two attempts, including one on frame. For the Falcons, Huba Hajdu and Nevin Volarath each attempted four shots to pace the attack.
