MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College finished sixth with a score of 152 points at the Rhodes Invitational on Saturday at Shelby Farms Park.
Junior
Arnold Rupnow (Watertown, Wis.) led the way for the Warriors, finishing 13th with a personal-best 8K time of 26:15.6, and graduate
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) was 15th with a time of 26:22.0. Senior
Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) was 32nd with a time of 26:57.9. Freshman
Caleb Schreiber (Mukwonago, Wis.) was 51st with a time of 27:33.2, and junior
Silas Ebeling (Wauwatosa, Wis.) was 57th with a time of 27:42.5 to round out the team score for WLC.
Arkansas State placed five runners in the top-10 to win the 13-team event with 39 points. Memphis' Kenny Guy won the 122-runner 8K race with a time of 24:53.0.
Wisconsin Lutheran next competes at the Blugold Invitational on Friday, October 3 in Colfax. The 8K race is set to start at 4:15 p.m.
