Men's Tennis Wraps Up Non-Conference Slate Against Dubuque

Perkins and Harris win at No. 2 doubles for Warriors

JACKSON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College suffered a 7-0 non-conference loss to Dubuque on Saturday at Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Club.

Doubles play opened the match, with the Spartans taking two of the three flights. The Warriors' lone point came at No. 2 doubles, where senior TaDarion Perkins (Milwaukee, Wis.) and sophomore Myles Harris (Milwaukee, Wis.) earned a 6-2 victory over Gavin Murrie and Andrew Bollis for their third win of the year. UD claimed wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to take an early advantage.

Dubuque (3-1) then swept all six singles matches to complete the shutout over WLC. The closest singles contest came at No. 5, where junior Aidan Mattek (Appleton, Wis.) pushed Elia Desario to a first-set tiebreaker before falling 7-6 (8-6), 6-3. Perkins also competed closely at No. 3 singles, dropping a 6-3, 6-4 decision, while the Spartans secured straight-set victories at the remaining positions.

Wisconsin Lutheran (0-6) returns to action on Saturday, March 28, when it opens Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play against Milwaukee School of Engineering (3-8) at Nicolet High School in Glendale.
