MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The first two weeks of the WEC Overwatch season are in the books for Wisconsin Lutheran College, as the Warriors dropped their first two matches of the campaign.
WLC opened the season against MSOE, but the Raiders proved to be a difficult matchup. Team captain and returning senior
James Henry (SnakoBondo), who plays the Tank role, led the charge and did his best to guide the team through each engagement. However, Wisconsin Lutheran was unable to overcome the experienced MSOE roster and fell 3-0 in the best-of-five match to begin the season 0-1.
Looking to bounce back in its second contest, the Warriors faced WEC newcomer Marquette. Sophomore
Myles Harris (Crimsonkilla12) made his first full start of the season, transitioning from his DPS role a year ago to Support. After dropping the opening round, WLC responded by winning the second, but the Golden Eagles regained control and claimed the final two rounds for a 3-1 victory.
Wisconsin Lutheran will look for its first win of the season when it takes on the UW-Whitewater JV squad on Thursday, March 5, at 6 p.m. The match will be streamed live on Twitch.
