FRANKLIN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College was shutout over two games of a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference doubleheader against Dominican by scores of 8-0 and 11-0 on Saturday at Franklin High School.
Game 1: Dominican 8, Wisconsin Lutheran 0 (6 Inn.)
After three scoreless innings, the Stars (17-11, 11-3 NACC) broke through in the fourth. Following a single and a sacrifice bunt, a throwing error allowed the game's first run to score. Later in the inning, an RBI double made it 2-0.
DU extended its lead with a four-run fifth inning, highlighted by three RBI hits, along with a sacrifice bunt. Dominican capped the scoring in the sixth with a two-run double to push the advantage to 8-0.
The Warriors (13-15, 5-7 NACC) threatened in the fourth and sixth innings but were unable to capitalize, stranding multiple runners in scoring position.
Sophomore
Peyton Crutcher (Ashwaubenon, Wis.) led WLC at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a walk, while junior

Madison Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) each added a hit.
The Stars were paced offensively by Isabella Olmos, who went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, and Raegyn Davis, who drove in three runs on a 2-for-4 performance. Charlie Harris also contributed two hits, two runs scored, and an RBI. Hannah Richards earned the win in the circle, allowing four hits over five shutout innings with one walk and one strikeout.
Game 2: Dominican 11, Wisconsin Lutheran 0 (5 Inn.)
DU opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single, and extended its lead with two runs in the third on an RBI triple and an RBI single, making it 3-0.
Dominican added two more runs in the fourth, both unearned, highlighted by an RBI double. The Stars then broke the game open in the fifth inning, scoring six runs on six hits.
Wisconsin Lutheran was limited to just two hits. Alloy recorded a single in the first inning, and freshman
Hannah Stellmacher (Fairwater, Wis.) added a pinch-hit single in the fifth.
Paytin Salfi led DU at the plate, going 3-for-3 with an RBI, two runs scored, and a walk, while Olmos finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Raegyn Davis added two hits and an RBI. Rhiannon Rubio picked up the win in the circle, allowing one hit over four shutout innings while striking out one and walking none.
