Concordia Chicago slips past Women's Soccer

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team came out on the short end in a 1-0 loss to the Concordia University Chicago Cougars on Wednesday night at Warrior Field.

After both teams played to a scoreless first half, the Cougars scored the game's lone goal in the 47th minute of the second half as Tara Oetting put the ball into the net off an assist from Kari Zielke.

Meta Kolander (Brookfield, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) led Wisconsin Lutheran's offensive attack with eight shots, seven of which were on goal. Katie Sloan (Omaha, Neb./Nebraska Lutheran) stopped 11 shots in goal for WLC.

Concordia Chicago out-shot the Warriors 20-13.

Wisconsin Lutheran (2-13-1, 2-7 NAC) will be back in action on Saturday when it travels to Madison for a 3 p.m. match against conference foe Edgewood College.
