MEQUON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team was edged by the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons 1-0 in a Northern Athletics Conference game on Saturday afternoon in Mequon.

Concordia Wisconsin and Wisconsin Lutheran played through a scoreless first half before the Falcons notched the game's lone goal in the 59th minute as Jaclyn Ventimiglia scored off of a pass from Becky Ott.

Freshman goalkeeper Katie Sloan (Omaha, Neb./Nebraska Lutheran) made 18 saves for WLC, which totaled four shots in the game, opposed to 29 shots attempted by Concordia Wisconsin.

The loss marked the eighth time this season that Wisconsin Lutheran has lost by one goal in a game.

Wisconsin Lutheran (2-16-1, 2-10 NAC) will have a week off before it closes out the 2007 season next Saturday in Mankato, Minn., with a non-conference clash against Bethany Lutheran College at 2 p.m.
