Women's Soccer falls at home to Concordia Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team was defeated by the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons 8-1 in a Northern Athletics Conference game on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Falcons mounted a 3-0 first half lead before Wisconsin Lutheran was able to tally its lone goal of the match. Freshman Trish Mahnke (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) netted an unassisted goal at the 41:29 mark of the opening half to send WLC into halftime trailing 3-1.

CUW (9-5, 7-2 NAC), which had three different players tally two goals in the match, added five more goals in the second half.

WLC attempted three shots in the contest, compared to 39 shots attempted by Concordia Wisconsin. Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Sloan (Omaha, Neb./Nebraska Lutheran) made 19 saves in the game for the Warriors.

Wisconsin Lutheran (3-14, 3-8 NAC) squares-off against the MSOE Raiders on Tuesday at Uihlein Soccer Park at 7 p.m.
