FORT MYERS, Fla. - The WLC softball team lost
15-0 to Tri-State University Friday morning at the Gene Cusic
Classic.
Wisconsin Lutheran (2-5) was hampered by errors in the first two
innings as the Thunder (8-1) jumped out to a 13-0 lead, all on
unearned runs.
Senior Rachel Doege (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) was
the lone Warrior with a hit as she singled to left in the
fourth.
Freshman Laura Konop (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) took the loss
(0-2), but did not allow any earned runs in the first two innings.
Sophomore Jenny Boelk (Fond du Lac, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran)
relieved Konop the final two frames.
