Wisconsin Lutheran falls at home to Marian

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team was blanked by the Marian University Sabres 9-0 on Saturday afternoon in a Northern Athletics Conference game at Warrior Field.

Marian netted four first half goals and scored five more in the second half en route to the win over WLC.

Wisconsin Lutheran attempted 10 shots in the game, compared to 31 attempted by the Sabres. Meta Kolander (Brookfield, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) finished with a team-high three shot attempts in the game for the Warriors.

Katie Sloan (Omaha, Neb./Nebraska Lutheran) made 12 saves in the match for Wisconsin Lutheran, which saw its losing streak extend to four games.

Kim Kriese finished with three goals and an assist on 10 shots attempted for Marian (5-5, 3-2 NAC).

Wisconsin Lutheran (1-10, 1-4 NAC) hosts Alverno College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a NAC contest at Warrior Field.
