PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Wisconsin Lutheran College
senior thrower Rick LaFleur (Random, Lake, Wis./Random Lake)
competed in the Nike/Impact Sports UW-Platteville Invitational on
Saturday at the Williams Fieldhouse.
LaFleur placed 21st of 38 in the shot put with a throw of 11.52
meters. Kyle Schofield of UW-Stevens Point won the event with a
toss of 16.11 meters. LaFleur also competed in the 35-pound weight
throw, where he placed 28th of 35 with a mark of 11.72 meters. Sam
Johnson of UW-Eau Claire finished with a toss of 18.57 meters to
claim first place in the event.
Team scores were not kept on the day.
Wisconsin Lutheran will compete in the UW-Oshkosh Invitational
on Saturday, February 21. It will be the final indoor tune-up
before the Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Championships on
February 28.
