Coe comes from behind to top Wisconsin Lutheran

ORLANDO, Fla. - Coe College scored five of its seven runs over the final three innings to defeat WLC 7-6 on Friday in the first game of a doubleheader at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational held at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.

Wisconsin Lutheran jumped out to an early 2-0 lead by scoring single runs in both the first and second inning. Coe tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the second by plating a pair of runs.

The Warriors answered by scoring four more runs over the next three innings and took a 6-2 lead into the bottom of the fifth.

The Kohawks fought back by scoring three runs in the bottom of the fifth and single runs in both the sixth and seventh inning for the comeback victory.

Sophomore Brad Marshall (Cudahy, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Warriors. Junior Kyle Edlhuber (Mukwonago, Wis./Luther Preparatory) also tallied three hits. Josh Lemke (Brillion, Wis./Manitowoc Lutheran) was handed the loss in relief for WLC.

Wisconsin Lutheran (3-4) faces Coe in its final game of the 2009 RussMatt Central Florida Invitational on Friday at 3 p.m.
