PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The WLC men's track &
field team competed in its second indoor meet of the 2010 season
Saturday, traveling to the 10-team, non-scoring UW-Platteville
Invitational.
Freshman Josh Stodola (Denmark, Wis./Denmark) broke the school
record in the 55-meter hurdles, a record that had stood since the
2003 season. Stodola toed the finish in 8.07 in the qualifying
round of the event for eighth place out of 27 competitors. He
placed sixth of seven in the final round with a time of 8.08.
Three Warriors, Tate Plath (Eagan, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran),
Dominic Fiorini (Kohler, Wis./Kohler) and Jordan Nelson (Pleasant
Prairie, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran), all took part in the 400-meter
dash. Plath, Fiorini and Nelson recorded times of 57.04, 57.48 and
1:01.22, respectively, in the race.
Junior Blake Miller (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and
senior Tyler Schroeder (Sparta, Wis./Bangor) finished the mile run
in 5:08.40 and 5:11.90, respectively. Junior Chris Martin
(Grapevine, Texas/Christian) completed the 3000 meters in
12:02.10.
WLC also participated in the 800-meter relay (1:39.92) as well
as the 1600-meter relay (3:46.35).
Wisconsin Lutheran returns to the track Saturday, February 20
for the UW-Stevens Point Invitational.
