Schroeder records season-best at Last Chance Meet

WHITEWATER, Wis. - Wisconsin Lutheran College senior Tyler Schroeder (Sparta, Wis./Bangor) raced to a season-best time in the 800 meters on Friday at UW-Whitewater's Karl Schlender Last Chance Meet.

Schroeder, who was competing in the final indoor meet of his WLC career, crossed the finish line of the 800 meters in a season-best time of 2:11.36 for 15th-place in the event. Andrew Perkins, an unattached athlete, won the event with a time of 1:56.19.

Wisconsin Lutheran, which did not qualify any student-athletes for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, will open its 2010 outdoor season schedule on Saturday, March 20 at the Rhodes Open Meet in Memphis, Tenn.
