MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
men's track & field team placed fourth out of seven teams on
Saturday at the Warrior Relays at Raabe Stadium.
WLC was led by freshman Josh Stodola (Denmark, Wis./Denmark) who
won both the 110- (17.15) and 400-meter (58.41) hurdle events.
Sophomore Chris Shoop (Phoenix, Ariz./Arizona Lutheran) turned in
third- and fourth-place finishes in the 100- and 200-meter dash,
respectively. In windy conditions, Shoop ran a 12.40 in the 100
before crossing the tape of 200 in a time of 24.86.
Other highlights for the Warriors included junior Blake Miller's
(Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) eighth-place finish in the 800
meters (2:10) and sophomore Dan Tilly's (West Bend, Wis./West)
third-place mark in the javelin throw.
The Warriors finished fourth of seven with 71.5 points in the
final team rankings. Fellow Northern Athletics Conference foe
Milwaukee School of Engineering won the team title with 238.50
points.
Wisconsin Lutheran continues its outdoor season next Saturday,
April 24 when it competes in the UW-Whitewater Invitational. Field
events are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m., while running events
will follow at 11 a.m.
