the first game of a Northern Athletics Conference doubleheader at

tied the game at 1-1 in the fourth on a solo home run off the bat
of junior Josh Ferrell (Cocoa, Fla./Temple Chrstian) to left
center. DU went back in front 2-1 in the bottom of the inning on a
two-out RBI double.

Jake Thorsteins (Round Lake Beach, Ill./Shoreland Lutheran) led off
the fifth with another solo home run to left center.
The Stars began their late scoring surge in the fifth when they
plated three runs via four hits, but left the bases loaded as the
Warriors escaped without any further harm done. After another
scoreless frame in the sixth, the Warriors closed within two runs,
5-3, after freshman Sam Braaten (Appleton, Wis./East) scored on a
wild pitch after leading the inning off with a double.

scoring five runs off of six hits for a 10-3 advantage.
