STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran
College men's track & field team competed at the UW-Stevens
Point Pointer/Eastbay Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the
Multi Activity Center in their second invitational of the indoor
season.
The Warriors had five athletes compete in events throughout the
afternoon, in which team scores were not kept.
Seniors Chris Martin (Grapevine, Texas/Christian) and Sean
Gogerty (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) competed in both the mile
run and 3,000 meters for WLC. Martin posted a time of 5:17.87 in
the mile, while Gogerty finished with a time of 5:31.60. In the
3,000 meters, Martin and Gogerty recorded times of 10:38.55 and
11:12.35, respectively.
Senior Blake Miller (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran)
participated in the 400 meters (57.92), freshman Nick Biancuzzo
(Menomonee Falls, Wis./Milwaukee Lutheran) in the 200 meters
(2:09.08) and freshman Nathan Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago
Lutheran) in the 55-meter hurdles (9.22). WLC also fielded a team
in the 4x400-meter relay (3:56.53).
Wisconsin Lutheran travels to Naperville, Ill., next weekend to
compete in the Northern Athletics Conference Indoor Track &
Field Championships at North Central College. Events are scheduled
to begin at 11 a.m.
