HANOVER, Ind. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
men's track & field team scored nine points to finish eighth at
the Hanover Invitational Saturday afternoon at L.S. Ayres Field. It
was the second outdoor meet of the season for the Warriors.
Wisconsin Lutheran received scoring contributions in four
different events on its way to totaling nine points at the event.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology topped the nine-team field with
183 points.
Freshman Malachi Wallander (Menasha, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran)
accumulated five points in the pole vault after clearing a height
of 3.05 meters for fourth place. Freshman Nick Biancuzzo (Menomonee
Falls, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) finished seventh in the 800-meter
run with a time of 2:03.79. Fellow freshman Travis Townsend
(Milwaukee, Wis./Menomonee Falls) placed eighth in the 200-meter
dash with a time of 23.34. WLC's 4x400-meter relay team also earned
a point after placing eighth with a combined time of 3:49.82.
The Warriors are next scheduled to compete at the UW-Whitewater
Rex Foster Open Friday, April 8 in Whitewater, Wis.
