WLC wraps up indoor track & field season at Carthage College

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team concluded its 2011 indoor track & field season Friday at the Gill Athletics Last Chance Invitational held at Carthage College.

Freshman Nick Biancuzzo (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Milwaukee Lutheran) competed in the 400-meter dash and finished with a time of 56.15. He placed eighth of 12 in the event. Senior Chris Martin (Grapevine, Texas/Christian) raced in the mile and tallied a time of 5:11.89 for 15th in the event. Freshman Malachi Wallander (Menasha, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) rounded out competition for the Warriors with the pole vault. He cleared a height of 3.07 meters. Team scores were not kept at the event.

With the conclusion of its indoor season, Wisconsin Lutheran returns to action Saturday, March 19 when it opens its outdoor season of competition in Memphis, Tenn., at the Rhodes Open Meet.
