Warriors compete in first home event Sunday

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team competed in its first home event of the outdoor season Sunday, the Warrior Relays, at Raabe Stadium. The Warriors finished seventh with 12 points at the event.

Freshman Nick Biancuzzo (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Milwaukee Lutheran) recorded a season-best and the NAC's second-fastest time in the 400-meter dash after he finished fourth of eight in the event with a time of 52.85.

Senior Chris Martin (Grapevine, Texas/Christian) posted an all-time best time in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:17.68. Freshman Nathan Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) tallied WLC's remaining six points on the day with his finish of 17,26 in the 110-meter hurdles.

Wisconsin Lutheran finished seventh with 12 points at its own event. St. Norbert College claimed the title with 241 points.

The Warriors will next host the Private College Championships on April 30 at Raabe Stadium. Events will begin at 10:30 a.m.
