WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
men's track & field team competed Saturday afternoon at the
nine-team, non-scoring Carroll University Invitational at the
Dennis Punches Track & Field Complex.
The Warriors top finisher of the afternoon was freshman Nathan
Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran), who placed fifth in
the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.93.
Seniors Blake Miller (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and
Chris Martin (Grapevine, Texas/Christian) each ran the 1500 meters,
finishing with times of 4:30.98 and 4:46.83, respectively. Freshman
Nick Biancuzzo (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Milwaukee Lutheran) was ninth
in the 400-meter dash after crossing the finish line in 53.11.
WLC's 4x400 meter relay team of Biancuzzo, Miller, Boerneke and
Martin totaled a time of 3:42.16. Freshman Malachi Wallander
(Menasha, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) also competed in a pair of
field events, the javelin and pole vault, and turned in marks of
36.66 meters and 3.35 meters, respectively.
The Warriors resume outdoor competition next Friday, April 8 at
the UW-Whitewater Rex Foster Open in Whitewater, Wis. Events are
scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
