FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team fell to the Marian University Sabres 2-0 Saturday afternoon in a Northern Athletics Conference game at Smith Fields.

Marian (4-3, 2-1 NAC) scored both of its goals early with the first coming at the 4:56 mark when Leisa Conn found the back of the net to give the Sabres a 1-0 advantage.

That lead would expand to 2-0 13:31 into play with Conn again scoring for the two-goal margin.

The Warriors defense played tough the rest of the way, shutting out the Sabres the remainder of the match. Freshman goalkeeper Sarah Luebke (Kaukauna, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) was a big reason why as she collected 11 saves, six of which came in the second half.

The Sabres outshot WLC 22-7 for the match. Freshman Laura Kent (Iron Mountain, Mich./Iron Mountain) led the way for the forest green and white as she registered two shots.

Wisconsin Lutheran (0-6, 0-3 NAC) returns home for the first time this season on Tuesday after its season-opening six-game road swing. The Warriors will host Beloit College (1-4) in a 7 p.m. non-conference contest at Warrior Field.
