win, but a Benedictine goal tied the game as the Warriors and
Eagles played to a 1-1 double-overtime tie Tuesday night at the

The goal scored by BenU with 50 seconds remaining in regulation

and tying the score at 1-1. Neither team would score in either
overtime as the Warriors played to their third tie of the season.
The tie concluded a five-game conference road stretch where the
Warriors compiled a 3-1-1 record.
Wisconsin Lutheran reached the scoring column late in the first
half when Emily Sowinski (Waukesha, Wis./West) scored her second
goal of the season at the 36:32 mark for a 1-0 advantage. Cari
Westover (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) recorded her third assist and
fifth point of the season on the Sowinski score.

opening half as WLC held an 8-6 advantage in shots through 45
minutes of play. Warriors goalkeeper Kate Gucinski (Appleton,
Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) stopped the only shot the Eagles fired on
goal and her counterpart, Kristina Frampton, made two first-half
saves.
The second half wouldn't see any scoring until the own goal at
the 89:10 mark, evening things up at 1-1. Benedictine (5-7-2, 4-4-1
NAC) controlled the shots in the second half with a 5-2 advantage.
The first overtime saw the Eagles fire two shots compared to one
for the Warriors, while WLC responded by recording the only three
shots in the second overtime period.
Maggie Smith (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn) led Wisconsin Lutheran with
four shots, while Nikki Jhanji led all players with five shots for
the host Eagles. Gucinski and Frampton each ended the game with
three saves, stopping one apiece in the overtime sessions.

game since September 22 when it hosts Concordia Wisconsin (11-4,
