WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran
College men's track & field team competed at the non-team
scoring Rex Foster Invitational on Friday in Whitewater, Wis.
Freshman Travis Turnquist (Madison, Wis./East) won the
29-competitor 200-meter dash, finishing in 22.39. He also competed
in the 100-meter dash and earned a fourth-place finish with a time
of 11.09.
Sophomore Nick Biancuzzo (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Milwaukee
Lutheran) ran personal-best time of 51.81 in the 400-meter dash,
finishing the event 16th out of 23 competitors.
Sophomore Nathan Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran)
also set a new personal-best with his third-place finish in the
110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.40. Boerneke also competed in
the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in ninth place with a time of
1:02.03.
Sophomore Tommy Jones (Delevan, Wis./Delavan-Darien) also
competed in the 1500-meter run (4:31.27) and javelin throw (35.55m)
for the Warriors.
Wisconsin Lutheran returns to action next Saturday, April 14
when it hosts the Warrior Invitational at Raabe Stadium. Events are
scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
