Hill, Wallace compete on first day at Dr. Keeler Invitational

Sophomore Isaac Hill (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) and freshman Sam Wallace (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) both competed at the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central on Thursday at the Jay & Dot Buikema Track. Both runners set PRs in the 5,000-meter run.

Hill dropped his time by 30 seconds as he placed 68th out of 93 competitors in the event with a time 16:05.68. His previous best time was a 16:35.55 that he ran at the St. Norbert Invitational on April 21.

Wallace also had a personal-best time on Thursday as he completed the 5,000-meter run in 16:52.46. His time was 13 seconds faster than his previous best time of 17:05.57 that he set last weekend at the Northern Athletics Conference Outdoor Championships.

Several other Warriors will be competing on day two of the Dr. Keeler Invitational on Friday. Competition is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Jay & Dot Buikema Track in Naperville, Ill.
