DE PERE, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
men's track & field team competed at the St. Norbert College
Invitational on Saturday at Donald J. Schneider Stadium, WLC placed
eighth out of nine teams with 39 points.
Mike Reeves (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) competed in
the 100-meter dash, placing third with a time of 11.31 seconds.
Reeves also participated in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 23.40
seconds for 11th place.
In the 10,000 meter run, Isaac Hill brought home the top time in
the event as he crossed the finish line in 33:44.01. In the
5,000-meter run, Sam Wallace (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran)
took eighth with a time of 16:54.95.
Nathan Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) placed
second in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing in 16.60 seconds.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, BJ Ropel (Mayville,
Wis./Mayville) took sixth with a time of 10:29.58.
WLC had a pair of top 10 finishers in the long jump. Reeves
placed sixth with a jump of 6.09 meters. Ryan George (Milwaukee,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) was right behind with a leap of 6.08
meters in seventh place. Reeves also competed in the triple jump,
taking third with a distance of 12.82 meters.
Tommy Jones (Delavan, Wis./Delavan-Darien) tossed the javelin
36.08 meters for 10th place.
Meet host St. Norbert scored 153 points to win the team
title.
The Warriors' next event will be at the Hillsdale College Gina
Relays on April 25-26 in Hillsdale, Mich. Events from the Ken
Herrick Outdoor Track are scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
