DE PERE, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team competed at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Saturday at Donald J. Schneider Stadium. The Warriors finished seventh out of eight scoring teams with 29 points.
Mike Reeves (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) had a fantastic day on the track. He won the 100-meter dash with a school-record time of 10.93 seconds, and finished eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.30 seconds. Reeves also leaped his way to a fourth-place finish in the triple jump (12.89 meter).
Nathan Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.07 seconds.
In the 1500-meter run, Isaac Hill (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) ran to a sixth-place finish with a time of 4:19.58.
Tommy Jones (Delavan, Wis./Delavan-Darien) competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase, placing seventh with a time of 10:49.73.
Meet host St. Norbert College scored 192 points to take home the team title.
Wisconsin Lutheran will host the Northern Athletics Conference Outdoor Championships next Friday and Saturday, May 3-4, at Raabe Stadium. The first day of events will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
