LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team competed Thursday at the Dr. Keeler Invitational in Naperville, Ill., and the UW-La Crosse Open Friday at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
BJ Ropel (Mayville, Wis./Mayville) competed for the Warriors Thursday at the Dr. Keeler Invitational in Naperville, Ill. Ropel raced to a season-best time of 15:53.92 in the 88-competitor 5,000-meter run.
At La Crosse, Mike Reeves (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) finished ninth in the 19-competitor 200-meter dash as he finished with a season-best time of 23.20 seconds. Reeves also competed in the triple jump, placing eighth will a leap of 12.49 meters.
Tommy Jones (Delavan, Wis./Delavan-Darien) competed in the 800-meter run, crossing the finish line in 2:03.73.
Nathan Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) participated in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 58.02 seconds.
The Warriors' next event will be the Gregory Invitational May 16-17 at the Jay & Dot Buikema Track in Naperville, Ill.
