ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team concluded its 2013 outdoor season by competing at the Gregory Invitational May 16 and the Midwest Twilight Qualifier May 17.
At the Gregory Invitational in Naperville, Ill., Isaac Hill (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) ran in the 5,000 meter run, finishing in 16:15.07. In the other long distance event, BJ Ropel (Mayville, Wis./Mayville) was eighth in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 33:26.59.
At the Midwest Twilight Qualifier in Rock Island, Ill., Mike Reeves (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) turned in solid performances in three events. Reeves began the day with a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.99 seconds. Reeves followed that up with an 11th-place time of 23.37 seconds in the 200-meter dash. He rounded out the day with a leap of 6.04 meters in the long jump, good for fourth place.
Nathan Boerneke (Fox Lake, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) competed in the 400-meter hurdles where he placed seventh.
