Warriors Open Indoor Season At Private College Invitational

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team opened its 2015 indoor season by competing at the Carthage Private College Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center. The Warriors finished tied for 11th overall with six points.

Mike Reeves (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) placed third in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.65. He also secured eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.03 meters. Reeves also posted a time of 24.50 in the 200-meter dash.

Andrew Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) captured 16th in the weight throw with a toss of 12.45 meters. Stumpner also competed in the shot put and came in 18th with a distance of 11.51 meters.

Jared Bruemmer (Hanover Park, Ill./Hoffman Estates) competed in the 55-meter dash and posted a time of 7.10. He also ran in the 200 meters with a time of 24.94. Colin Sheahan (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) also crossed the line at 7.32 in the 55-meter dash. In the 400 meters, he posted a time of 58.11.

Chicago won the meet with 183 points.

Wisconsin Lutheran returns to action for the NCAA/NAIA Challenge next Saturday, January 24 in Bourbonnais, Ill.
