Box Score APPLETON, Wis. - An offensive rebound and put-back layup from Collin Kennedy (Holmen, Wis./Luther) with 13 seconds remaining in the game finished a 12-point second-half comeback as the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's basketball team notched its first victory of the season over Lawrence, 71-70, at Alexander Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half went back-and-forth throughout, until a couple late baskets gave the Vikings a 37-31 lead going into the half.
- The Warriors shot 41.9 percent from the field in the opening half, compared to LU's 46.4 percent.
- An Evan McLaughlin layup gave Lawrence its largest lead of the contest, 44-32, with 17:21 remaining in the second half.
- A three-point basket from Jake Jarnigo (Lake Mills, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) gave WLC a 53-51 lead with just over eight minutes remaining, its first lead since the 6:16 mark of the first half.
- LU took the lead again late in the game, after a layup with just over 31 seconds remaining in regulation.
- With 13 seconds remaining, Kennedy collected the offensive rebound from Jarnigo's missed jumper and finished the layup, ultimately giving the Warriors the win.
- Lawrence's last-second three-point attempt was well-defended by the Warriors.

- Jarnigo and Tanner Schieve (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) led the Warriors with 15 points each. Jim Marose (Waukesha Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and Chase Nowak (Milwaukee, Wis./St. Francis) contributed 14 and 10 points, respectively.
- Marose grabbed a game-high eight rebounds and Schieve dished out five assists.
