Robles Named Track Athlete Of The Meet At Indoor Championships

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team scored 50 points to finish sixth out of nine teams at the 2015 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Championships Saturday at Petretti Fieldhouse.

Chase Robles (New Berlin, Wis./West) captured a pair of first-place finishes to record top marks for the Warriors, taking first in the 3,000 meters (8:57.82) and 5,000 meters (15:29.03). Robles was named Track Athlete of the Meet for his efforts.

Mike Reeves (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) placed second out of 26 sprinters in the 55-meter dash with a season-best time of 6.57. Reeves also competed in the long jump and posted a leap of 5.91 meters.

Isaac Hill (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) took home fifth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:53.74. Hill finished the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:16.80 to place eighth.

Danny Hafenstein (Lake Mills, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) paced the Warriors in the mile with a seventh-place finish and a time of 4:42.68. Harrison Fleming was 10th crossing the line in 4:45.94. Jacob Jodat (Pewaukee, Wis./Waukesha North) finished with a time of 4:53.55.

Jared Bruemmer (Hanover Park, Ill./Hoffman Estates) used personal-best finishes in the long jump (5.96 meters) to take 12th, the 55-meter dash (6.97) to place 13th, and the 200 meters (24.11) to notch another 13th place finish.

Kyle McBee (Monroe, Mich./Lutheran South) had a personal-best in the mile finishing in 4:55.91. He also competed in the 800 meters and posted a time of 2:23.38.

Sam Wallace (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) and Josh Eickhoff (Manitowoc, Wis./Lutheran) competed in the 3,000 meters for times of 9:43.22 and 10:34.68, respectively.

Andrew Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) finished fifth in the weight throw with a personal-best throw of 13.30 meters. He also took eighth in the shot put with a mark of 11.61 meters.

Jeremy Fierros (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) competed in the pole vault and used a mark of 3.80 meters to set a new personal-best for eighth place.

Mitchell Schneider had a personal-best in the long jump with a leap of 5.95 meters. Aaron King participated in the shot put and posted a throw of 9.61 meters.

The Warriors distance medley relay team of Hafenstein, Collin Sheahan (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg), Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran), and Fleming had a time of 11:07.58 for third place in the event.

Wisconsin Lutheran's 4x400-meter relay team of Sheahan, Donart, Jodat, and Hafenstein scored a sixth-place finish with a season-best time of 3:44.10.

Aurora won the conference championship with 160.50 points.

The Warriors' next event will come next Friday at the Carthage Gill Athletics Final Qualifier at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center in Kenosha. Events begin at 4 p.m.
