Warriors Open Indoor Season At Private College Invitational

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team kicked off its 2016 indoor season by competing at the Carthage Private College Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center. The Warriors finished 10th with one point.

Shemron Ross finished eighth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.98. He also competed in the 200-meter dash where he finished 17th with a posted time of 24.74 seconds.

Caleb Tomlin finished the 400 meters in 57.71 seconds, placing him in 16th overall in the event. Zeke Malchow competed in both the 200 and 400 meters with times of 25.50 and 1:00.21, respectively. Colin Sheahan (Oostburg, Wis./Oostburg) also finished with a time of 1:00.33 in the 400 meters.

The host school, Carthage, won the invitational with 135 points.

The Warriors return to action on January 30 for the Pioneer Open hosted by UW-Platteville at Williams Fieldhouse. Events begin at 11 a.m.
