SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball team earned its third straight conference split on Tuesday, squaring off against Dominican, as Colton Tisch (Genoa City, Wis./Badger) recorded the game-winning RBI in the eighth inning for an 8-7 victory in game one. The Stars then took the nightcap from the Warriors 13-3 in seven innings at Boomers Stadium.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Warriors scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the third to take a 6-1 lead. Curtis Engelbrecht (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Northland Lutheran), Jake Grollo (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls), KJ Banse (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine's), and Ryan Stancl (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) all recorded RBIs in the frame.
- Dominican tied the game at 7-7 after scoring five runs in the top of the seventh.
- Tisch recorded the game-winning RBI by grounding out to second to score Banse in the eighth inning.
- The Stars had two men on in the ninth but Brock Vredeveld (Waterloo, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) got the final out to preserve the 8-7 victory for WLC.
- Banse led the Warriors with three hits, two RBIs, and two runs scored. He also swiped four bases. Vredeveld and Josiah Boucher (Menasha, Wis./Menasha) had two hits apiece while Grollo recorded two RBIs.
- Cameron Paladines (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) earned his third win of the season in 2.0 innings of relief work for starter Connor Rosin (Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel). Paladines allowed only one hit and fanned three. Vredeveld notched his first save of the year after recording the final out of the contest.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Dominican jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings of play and eventually defeated the Warriors 13-3 in seven innings.
- Engelbrecht and Ryan Michael (Racine, Wis./Lutheran) recorded two hits each in game two. Mike Kosinski (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) and Grollo had the only RBIs for the Warriors in the nightcap.
- Wisconsin Lutheran was hampered by five errors in the contest.
- Vredeveld was dealt the loss, tossing 4.2 innings, while allowing 10 hits and seven earned runs.
FOR THE FOES
- Brian Costello had two hits and three RBIs in game one for the Stars. Colin Janison picked up two RBIs for DU.
- Daniel Supple took the loss for Dominican after allowing a hit and an earned run in 2.1 innings of relief.
- Cody Schuster and Mike Piotrowski both recorded three hits in the nightcap for the Stars. Piotrowski also posted three RBIs.
- Quinlan Milne Rojek earned his first win for Dominican, tossing a complete game allowing two earned runs on eight hits.
