Box Score 2 MEQUON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball team earned a split against Concordia Wisconsin to open NACC play Wednesday afternoon behind Brock Vredeveld's (Waterloo, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) complete game for a 3-2 victory in game two, after the Warriors fell in game one 10-2 at Kapco Park.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Concordia Wisconsin scored five runs in the first inning before going on to win game one by a score of 10-2.
- Vredeveld, Jake Grollo (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls), and KJ Banse (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine's) each collected two hits in the contest. Colton Tisch (Genoa City, Wis./Badger) recorded an RBI for the Warriors.
- WLC out-hit CUW 11-8, but left 10 runners on base.
- Connor Rosin (Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel) pitched 5.0 innings, taking the loss for WLC. He allowed four hits and five earned runs while striking out three.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- After the Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, Wisconsin Lutheran answered in the third, plating Matt Wick (Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett) on Ryan Michael's (Racine, Wis./Lutheran) RBI single to right field.
- WLC took the lead for good in the in fourth off RBIs from Ryan Stancl (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) and Wick. CUW tacked on a run in the fifth but Vredeveld kept the Falcons off the board the rest of the way.
- The Warriors snapped a four-game losing streak with the 3-2 victory.
- Wick had three hits in the contest with two doubles, an RBI, and a run scored. Brett Jakel (Reeseville, Wis./Waterloo), Curtis Engelbrecht (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Northland Lutheran), and Michael also had a hit for WLC.
- Vredeveld earned his first win of the season, pitching a complete game, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out seven. It was his second straight complete-game victory over the Falcons.
FOR THE FOES
- Dan Ranieri and Mitchell Dubnicka each had two hits for the Falcons in game one. Ranieri also had two RBI and three runs scored. Nate Van Ellis and Kyle Hilliard posted two RBI apiece.
- Andrew Heideman notched his first win of the season for CUW, pitching 6.0 innings allowing 11 hits, one earned run, and striking out seven. Andrew Gibbions picked up the save, pitching 3.0 innings and allowing no hits.
- Five Falcons collected a hit each in game two. Van Ellis and Dubnicka each had an RBI.
- Seth Hougesen took the loss for Concordia Wisconsin after allowing two earned runs on four hits and striking out seven in the nightcap.
