Box Score MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Visiting Albion scored 28 unanswered points behind three defensive touchdowns in the second half, as the Britons broke open a six-point halftime lead to defeat the Wisconsin Lutheran College football team, 48-14, in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Raabe Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Albion used an eight-play, 71-yard drive on its opening possession, capped off by a touchdown reception from Brian Blanzy, to take an early 7-0 lead.
- El'Verson Mitchell had a one yard rush to extend the Britons lead to 13-0 with 7:22 left in the opening quarter..
- After a Mat Guedel (Belvidere, Ill.) interception, the Warriors got on the board with a 19-yard touchdown reception from Pat Mathieson (New Port Richey, Fla.) to J.K. Witkofski (Racine, Wis.) to close out the first quarter scoring.
- Albion scored in the final two minutes of the first half on a 28-yard reception in the corner of the end zone to push its lead to 20-7.
- Wisconsin Lutheran marched 58 yards down the field and scored seconds before the half ended when Jake Anderson (Oak Creek, Wis.) found Nick Charles-Crowl (Bradenton, Fla.) from eight yards away to cut the deficit to 20-14 at halftime.
- After a WLC three-and-out to start the half, Blanzy caught his second touchdown of the day to give AC a 27-14 advantage.
- Albion broke the game open with an 88-yard pick six from Joe Schwartz to take a three-score lead.
- Halfway through the fourth quarter, the Britons returned a second interception for a score, this time a 71-yard return from Collin Poore.
- A fumble recovery in the end zone marked the third consecutive defensive touchdown for Albion.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Warriors recorded 246 yards of total offense, 218 of which came in the air.
- Anderson completed 11-of-25 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown. Mathieson was 11-of-19 with 95 yards and a touchdown.
- Witkofski led the Warriors with six catches for 60 yards and a touchdown. Chris Norvilus (Clermont, Fla.) added 53 yards on five catches, while Levi Schriefer (San Diego, Calif.) had four catches for 31 yards.
- Tony Orlando (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) had 10 tackles for the Green and White, while Brandon Morrissey (Waupun, Wis.) added seven with a sack. Guedel and Israel Guerrero (Tehachapi, Calif.) each recorded an interception.
FOR THE FOES
- The Britons racked up 349 yards of total offense, 213 of which came from the passing attack.
- Kyle Thomas was 19-of-34 in the air, recording 213 yards and three scores. Doug Freeman had 88 yards on the ground. Blanzy proved to be a threat all day, recording 109 yards on 11 catches with two touchdown receptions.
- Defensively, Albion forced six turnovers. Schwartz had nine tackles and a touchdown, while Geordon Carter recorded eight stops.
- Albion improved to 7-0 all-time over the Warriors.
