WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Jacob Jodat (Pewaukee, Wis./Waukesha North) won the 5,000-meter run to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team to an eighth-place finish out of 13 scoring teams on Saturday at the season-opening Carroll Pioneer Invitational at the Dennis Punches Track & Field Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jodat placed first in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:20.73 to top the field of 34 runners.
- Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich./Luther Preparatory) finished fifth in both the 110-meter hurdles (17:66 seconds) and 400-meter hurdles (58.83 seconds).
- Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) raced to a fifth-place finish out of 48 runners in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:15.41.
- Jonah Jahns (Germantown, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) placed seventh out of 39 competitors in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 23.00 seconds.
- The Warriors' 4x400-meter relay team finished eighth with a time of 4:04.51.

- The Warriors travel to Ripon next Saturday for the Private College Championships. Events begin at 10:30 a.m. on Ingalls Field.
