Personal Bests Highlight Panther Tune-Up

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's indoor track & field team competed Saturday at the non-scoring Milwaukee Panther Tune-Up inside the Klotsche Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jonah Jahns (Germantown, Wis.) sprinted to a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a personal best time of 51.42, ranking him third in the NACC in the event. Jahns also ran a personal-best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.37.
• Shemron Ross (Grand Anse, Grenada) and Caleb Tomlin (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) placed eighth and ninth in the 400-meter dash with times of 55.32 and 57.36, respectively. Ross also ran a personal best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.35.
• Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis.) raced to a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:01.85.
• Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.) also ran a time of 2:09.81 in the 800-meter run, good for ninth place.
• Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) competed in the mile run placing eighth in 4:42.09. Bronner also ran the 3,000-meter run in a time of 9:15.85 to finish ninth. Both events were good for personal best times.
• Brady Stuck (Germantown, Wis.) also ran the mile race to place 10th with a time of 4:49.75.
• Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich.) placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.36. Schamber also ran a personal best in the 60-meter dash in 7.50.
• Collin Hoskins (Rochester, Minn.) finished seventh in the high jump with a personal best height of 1.63 meters.
• Ethan Ortiz (Milwaukee, Wis.) placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 3.67 meters. Ortiz also competed in the long jump finishing ninth with a distance of 5.24 meters. Each event was good for a personal best.
• Jake Vallee (Marengo, Ill.) was fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 10.33 meters and 10th in the long jump with a mark of 5.23 meters.
• Sasha Bornschlegl (Rochester, Minn.) threw a personal best distance of 13.14 meters in the shot put, good for ninth place and the second-best mark in the NACC this season.
• Adam Pagel (Kenosha, Wis.) placed ninth in the weight throw with a personal best mark of 10.43 meters.
• Tyree Gamble (Hunstville, Texas) posted personal bests in the 200-meter dash of 25.65 and in the 60-meter dash of 7.43.
• The Warriors' 4x400-meter relay team finished second with a time of 3:38.29.

UP NEXT

• The Warriors travel to Kenosha next Sunday for the 2018 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Championships. Events begin at 11:00 a.m. inside Carthage's Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center.
