Box Score 2 FORT MYERS, Fla. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball team dropped two seven-inning non-conference games to Haverford, 6-2 and 6-2, Friday in its final day of the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic at the Player Development Complex.
THE BASICS

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Fords plated a pair of first-inning runs on a wild pitch and a single by Sam Partee to left field.
- Haverford added another run in the third inning on a double by Matt Goss to left, giving the Fords a 3-0 advantage.
- Ryan Michael (Racine, Wis.) brought WLC within one run in the top of the fifth inning when he ripped a single up the middle, driving in two runs.
- Haverford answered in the bottom of the fifth with a sacrifice fly, pushing its lead to 4-2.
- The Fords tacked on two more insurance runs in the sixth on a two RBI-single to center field.
- WLC finished with nine hits in the game; KJ Banse (Racine, Wis.), Joe Hanson (La Crosse, Wis.), and Michael had two hits apiece. The Warriors also left 10 runners on base.
- Brock Vredeveld (Waterloo, Wis.) allowed six runs, five earned, on 12 hits and struckout three in 6.0 innings on the mound.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- In the first inning, Brannigan Hart (Davie, Fla.) scored on a wild pitch to give the Warriors an early 1-0 lead.
- Haverford scored two runs in the fourth inning on a triple to left center by Nick Perez.
- Later in the inning, the Fords tacked on two more runs on a sacrifice bunt and a single to left field.
- WLC added a single run in the fourth on a Hanson RBI single that plated Vredeveld.
- The Fords added another run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly to center field to take a 5-1 lead.
- Haverford plated one more insurance run in the seventh on a double to right center, giving the Fords the 6-2 victory.
- WLC finished with just three hits in the game.
- Dylan Knoespel (Brillion, Wis.) allowed five runs, on nine hits in 6.0 innings of work.
FOR THE FOES
- Sam Partee went 3-for-4 with an RBI in the opener for the Fords. Goss also had three hits and drove in a run.
- Nathan Bass allowed no runs, on five hits, with three strikeouts in four innings on the rubber.
- Ethan Lee-Tyson had three hits in the second game, while Perez had three RBIs.
- Luke Duris pitched a complete game allowing two runs, on three hits, while striking out five.
