Box Score NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball team dropped a non-conference game against No. 23 North Central in its first game back from Florida, as the host Cardinals defeated the Warriors 14-1 Friday afternoon at Zimmerman Stadium.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- North Central took an early 2-0 lead in the first on a single up the middle and a fielder's choice.
- The Cardinals busted the game open in the third inning, scoring six runs on five hits, one of which was a bases-clearing double to right center.
- Wisconsin Lutheran cracked the scoring column in the fourth when Kasey Zdroik (Plainfield, Wis.) hit an RBI-single past the shortstop to score KJ Banse (Racine, Wis.).
- The Cardinals would respond with one run of their own in the fourth, and three more runs in the fifth.
- North Central tacked on one more insurance run in the seventh on an RBI-single up the middle, giving the Cardinals the 14-1 victory.
- Zdroik led the Warriors with two hits in three plate appearances.
- Dylan Knoespel (Brillion, Wis.) was dealt the loss as he allowed six earned runs in 3.0 innings. He walked three and gave up six hits.
FOR THE FOES
- Michael Mateja had three hits while Jeremy Quade went 2-for-3 to lead the Cardinals. Mike Wisz had four RBIs.
- Charles Klemm scattered five hits over 6.0 innings while striking out four to earn the win.
