Jahns' Runner-Up Finish, Schamber's Season Best Lead Warriors In Naperville

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Three members of the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team competed Thursday at the Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central. It was the Warriors' final "last chance" meet of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Jonah Jahns (Germantown, Wis.) sprinted to a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.25 seconds. His season-best time of 48.05 still ranks 18th nationally at the time of this release. The top 20 performers qualify for next week's NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in La Crosse.
  • Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich.) recorded a season-best time of 56.25 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles for an eighth-place finish.
  • Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis.) finished 18th of 32 runners in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.23.

UP NEXT

  • Qualifiers for next week's NCAA Championships are scheduled to be announced via press release Saturday on NCAA.com.
