Schamber Wins 400 Hurdles At Carroll Pioneer Invite

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich.) won the 400-Meter Hurdles and the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team finished sixth at the Carroll Pioneer Invite Thursday. The meet was contested two days sooner than originally scheduled due to weather concerns.

• Schamber won the 400-Meter Hurdles, posting a time of 56.64 seconds to top the 13-competitor field. He narrowly missed his own school record by .51 seconds.
• Jonah Jahns (Germantown, Wis.) placed sixth in the 100-Meter dash, running a time of 11.25 seconds. Jahns also sprinted to a second-place finish in the 400-Meter dash with a time of 49.39 seconds.
• Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis.) competed in the 5000 Meters, finishing in a time of 15:54.88 for a fourth-place finish.
• Brady Stuck (Germantown, Wis.) competed in his first 3000-Meter Steeplechase of 2019 and finished in a time of 10:19.54 for fourth place.
• Sam Rodmyre (Federal Way, Wash.) vaulted a personal best height in the Pole Vault, clearing 3.65 meters for sixth place.
• Jacob Vallee (Marengo, Ill.) leaped to a fifth-place finish in the Triple Jump with a distance of 11.15 meters.
• UW-Oshkosh won nine events to win the eight-team invite with 234 points, out-scoring second-place Carroll by 45.5 points.

• The Warriors will compete next Saturday, April 6 at the Wisconsin Private College Championships in Beloit. Events are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. inside Strong Stadium.
