4x100 Relay Record Falls At Drake Alternative Meet

WHITEWATER, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team broke the school's 4x100m Relay record that stood since 2009 on Friday at the Drake Alternative Meet hosted by UW-Whitewater. Team scores were not recorded at the event.

• The Warriors posted a school-record time in the 4x100m Relay as Jonah Jahns (Germantown, Wis.), Jacob Vallee (Marengo, Ill.), Dylan Chirigotis (Racine, Wis.), and Keith Bowling (Jefferson, Wis.) ran a time of 43.63 seconds for fourth place. The quad broke the previous school record of 44.08 seconds that stood since 2009.
• Jahns was WLC's top finisher on the day, posting a second-place finish out of 30 competitors in the 400m with a time of 49.88 seconds. He missed out on the title of the event by just .38 seconds.
• Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich.) placed third of 14 in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 56.41 seconds, his fastest time of the season.
• Brady Stuck (Germantown, Wis.) earned a fifth-place finish among 10 runners in the 3,000m Steeplechase with a season-best time of 10:18.22.
• Jared Traver (Janesville, Wis.) recorded a personal-best mark in the Javelin with a throw of 42.69m for sixth place out of 22 entries.
• Bowling also registered a sixth-place finish in the Triple Jump, leaping 13.17m for his second-furthest distance of the season.
• Host UW-Whitewater won eight events at the non-scoring meet.

• The Warriors turn their attention to the NACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships next Friday and Saturday at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine Sports Complex in Lisle, Illinois.
