Cano-Telles, Krahn Win Titles At Private College Championships

BELOIT, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis.) and Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) both won titles for the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team Saturday at the Wisconsin Private College Championships. The Warriors placed fifth in the team standings with 76 points.

  • Location: Strong Stadium, Beloit, Wis.

  • Cano-Telles won the 16-runner 5,000 Meters, finishing first in a time of 16:16.43.
  • Krahn topped the 21-runner field in the 1,500 Meters with a personal-best time of 4:09.97. He also competed in the 5,000 Meters, placing runner-up behind Cano-Telles in a personal-best time of 16:20.17.
  • Brady Stuck (Germantown, Wis.) was also sixth in the 5,000 in 16:52.50.
  • Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich.) recorded a time of 56.60 seconds in the 400 Hurdles for second place. He was also eighth in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 17.29 seconds.
  • Jonah Jahns (Germantown, Wis.) placed second in the 400 with a season-best time of 49.17 seconds. He also sprinted to third place in the 100, clocking a time of 11.63 seconds.
  • Sam Rodmyre (Federal Way, Wash.) was also seventh in the 400 with a season-best time of 52.80 seconds.
  • TJ McBryde (Zumbrota, Minn.) ran a time of 23.76 seconds in the 200 for sixth place.
  • The Warriors 4x400 Relay team comprised of Jahns, Schamber, Rodmyre, and Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.) placed third in 3:34.44.
  • Cole Kuehl (Richland, Mich.) and Todd O'Dell (Manteno, Ill.) both scored in the Discus, placing fifth and eighth, with personal-best distances of 36.67m and 35.17m, respectively.
  • Adam Pagel (Kenosha, Wis.) and Connor Young (Kenosha, Wis.) placed sixth and seventh in the Hammer with marks of 36.06m and 35.35m, respectively.
  • Jared Traver (Janesville, Wis.) threw a personal-best distance of 40.08m in the Javelin for eighth place.
  • Carroll won the invite with 233 points, winning 13 events, to top second-place St. Norbert by 80 points.

  • The Warriors are back at Carroll University next Saturday for the Gerry Reichert Invite. Events are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. from the Punches Track and Field Complex.
