WAVERLY, Iowa (WLCSports.com) – Sophomore Sam Rodmyre (Federal Way, Wash.) recorded several personal-best performances Friday and Saturday at the Wartburg NCAA Qualifier to break his own school record in the Heptathlon. Junior Kaylyn Shevey (Muskego, Wis.) also competed at the two-day event for the Warriors.

- Rodmyre competed in the Heptathlon and recorded personal-bests in the 60-Meter Dash (7.63), 1,000 Meters (2:57.95), Pole Vault (3.85m), and Shot Put (10.67m). His other event marks were the 60-Meter Hurdles (9.41), Long Jump (5.83m), and High Jump (1.68m). Rodmyre's total score of 4,193 earned him eighth place and broke his own school record of 3,998 points.
- Shevey competed in the Pentathlon and posted a lifetime-best mark in the High Jump (1.42m). Her personal-best mark in the High Jump coupled with her other performances in the 60-Meter Hurdles (10.48), Shot Put (8.32m), Long Jump (4.53m), and 800 Meters (2:43.05) earned her a lifetime best score in the Pentathlon of 2,553 points for fifth place.
- The Warriors turn their attention to the outdoor season when they host the Meet for Milwaukee on Saturday, March 21 at Raabe Stadium. It will be the first home meet since 2016 on the new Catalyst Track.
