(WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's basketball team shot 30.7 percent and couldn't quite recover from a big first-half deficit, as the Warriors suffered their first conference loss of the season on Saturday to the Edgewood Eagles, 80-68, inside the Todd Wehr Edgedome.

- The Warriors held their first and only lead of the game when sophomore Grayson Goetz (Aurora, Ill.) knocked down a jumper for the game's first points and a 2-0 lead.
- Leading 8-6 at the 16:10 mark of the first half, the Eagles went on a 16-2 run over a five-minute span to take their largest lead of the game at 24-8.
- WLC slowly chipped away at the deficit and found itself trailing by just three points after two straight baskets from sophomore Jacob Stoltz (Kewaskum, Wis.) with 3:30 left before halftime.
- Wisconsin Lutheran went info halftime down 40-34 despite shooting 36.4 percent compared to Edgewood's 53.1 percent.
- The Green and White answered the Eagles' first four points of the second half with a 6-0 spurt to come within six at 44-38.
- The hosts built their lead up to 11 points at 59-48 with 11:26 left in the second half, but an 11-3 scoring run by the Warriors had them within just three points at 62-59 with 7:23 left to play.
- WLC's deficit remained at three points on two other occasions, but they could not get any closer as the Eagles went 10-for-10 from the charity stripe over the final four minutes to hand Wisconsin Lutheran its first conference loss.
