(WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's basketball team couldn't overcome Edgewood's 55.1 percent shooting and 28 makes from the charity stripe, as the Warriors suffered an 87-83 loss to the Eagles on Friday night inside the Todd Wehr Edgedome. Freshman Jacob Stoltz (Kewaskum, Wis.) led four players in double figures with 15 points for WLC.

- The Warriors netted the first bucket of the game and held a four-point lead, their largest of the game, four minutes in following a Stoltz jumper. The Eagles answered with six straight points, but a back-and-forth first half saw the lead change hands seven times in addition to five ties.
- An 8-2 Edgewood run gave them a five-point lead at 29-24 with 6:41 to play in the first half. WLC closed within two points on a three from sophomore Trevor Stiede (Pulaski, Wis.) with five minutes remaining. Another 9-2 run by the Eagles gave the hosts their largest lead of the first half at 40-31 at the 2:37 mark. EC went into halftime with a 43-35 lead after shooting 59.3 percent from the field in the first half.
- Wisconsin Lutheran faced its largest deficit of the game of 11 points with 15:48 left, but scored six in a row to close within five.
- The Green and White's deficit was between five and 10 points for nearly seven minutes. Trailing 67-60, the Warriors scored five consecutive behind junior Drew Bernhagen (Markesan, Wis.) and freshman Jacob Hefle (Germantown, Wis.) to close within two points.
- The Eagles responded with five straight points to push their lead back to seven and held an 11-point lead again with 2:41 left.
- Back-to-back threes from Bernhagen and Stiede brought WLC's deficit down to five with a minute and a half to play.

- The Warriors shot 43.7 percent (31-for-71) from the floor, their second-highest mark of the season. Their 11 three-point makes also matched a season-best.
- Stoltz tallied five steals and four assists as WLC matched its season-high with 13 steals.
- Junior Zach Zuleger (West Bend, Wis.) and Stiede collected five rebounds each to lead the team.
- Wisconsin Lutheran made 10 of its 12 free throw attempts, tying a season-low for trips to the charity stripe.
